WHAT DOES ALJWAHERSCHOOL'S CURRICULUM MEAN? Our curriculum implies a system of learning that is student
centered. It focuses on a child's mental capacity at certain stages of
his life. Texts and activities are appropriate to the age of a
child. He is not overburden with concepts and tasks that his young mind
cannot grasp. We will provide students activity based learning, which can assist them in learning to read and do creative work. Our curriculum also stresses healthy living. This can be taught through indulging good habits in our children. HOW DO WE FIT IN AN ISLAMIC SOCIETY? The Aljwaher School recognizes that we live in an Islamic Society that has certain values and traditions which must be upheld. Islamic studies are very important in reaffirming a student's cultural identity. Islamic Studies will be taught in English to our students. We will encourage children to be proud of their Islamic heritage and use its teachings in their everyday lives. HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT? The Aljwaher School aims not just to educate students, but also to train them to become useful citizens in their community. In order to understand their role in the community the students will participate in different projects. The Aljwaher School will be a wholesome, exciting, innovative and fun place for any child to learn. Come join us for the 2007-2008 academic year.
